On these web pages are pictures of items I have made and sold. If something appeals to you, by all means call or email me. Aside from a few pieces I have on hand, much of my work is commissioned by customers who want to put their ideas into a high quality piece of furniture.
Why would anyone want to buy custom-made furniture built in a one-man shop in Sidney, Maine? Price would not be a reason. The cost of an item made in a production shop capable of turning out thousands of identical pieces is a small fraction of the cost of a custom-made item. However, there are some good reasons to go with custom work. It will last longer than production furniture and you will find no other piece exactly like the one I make for you. Because I am making something for you in particular rather than for a market, my time and skills are concentrated on perfecting your piece alone. When you commission a piece, we will put our ideas together to work out the design and details. The result will be something that will reward you for its looks and function over a lifetime. |
